Kennel Dølanvollen Dogsledding Røros offers dogsledding from our kennel, a 10 minute drive north of Røros town center. We arrange tours in small groups of up to 5 guests at the same time pr. trip, and we can do several trips for the day. Please send a request, even if you are more than 5 people!

 

We offer a total experience, where you get close to the dogs and the stunning nature around Røros. We offer a sled ride of about 2 hours where you drive your "own" dog sleigh with 4-5 dogs, and get to feel the special interaction with the dogs, in beautiful surroundings. We can also offer a shorter trip of about 1 hour.

From September 1., we can also offer cart rides, with 5 guests per trip. The route goes on dirt roads and trails through "setervoller" in Erlidalen. (seasonal farm for livestock farming in the mountains unique for Norway). The temperature must be under + 10 degrees, otherwise it will be too warm for the dogs to run.

Prices Cart tours: 1 to 2 hours costs NOK. 1.500,-  per person. Children: (4-13 years) NOK. 1.000, -

 

Prices Sled tours: Adult: (from the age of 14) The recommended trip of about 2 hours costs NOK. 2.500, - per person. The shorter trip costs NOK. 1.500, - per person. Children: (4-13 years) NOK. 1.000, - per person

 

Age: Persons 14 years or older, can run their own sleigh, younger children can be passengers. Age limit 4 years.

Payment: We have a payment terminal. Transfer in advance to account no: 4280.15.53634 or on Vipps no. 555613. 

 

Transportation: You need to arrange transportation to and from Kennel Dølanvollen Dogsledding Røros yourself. The address is Bentvollveien 67, Glåmos, Røros. It takes about 10 minutes by car from Røros. Røros Taxi ( +47 47442423) offers a fixed price for trips to Kennel Dølanvollen.

Please be precise.

 

Clothes: You must bring warm shoes and clothes, mittens/gloves and something warm for your head.

You can borrow a warm suit from us if necessary.

Weather: if weather conditions indicate that we cannot complete the trip, it will be cancelled. Such conditions include temperatures below -20C. Cancellation 14 days or less before a pre-booked trip will not be refunded.

 

Safety: we prioritize yours and our dogs’ safety. We have a zero tolerance policy for alcohol and intoxication at the kennel and on our trips. Guests who are under the influence of alcohol or any other substance will be rejected, without any refund.
